Description of Funko POP and Tee: Looney Tunes: Sylvester & Tweety (XL) 46986
Known for his adventures with Kenar Tweety, in which he constantly tries to catch and eat him. Speaks with a speech impediment (lisps and spits like Duffy Duck), often repeating the catchphrase "Sufferin 'Succotash" (which is a euphemism for the phrase "Suffering Savior", meaning deep annoyance and disappointment in the speaker's life). Created by director and animation artist Fritz Freeling at Warner Brothers, voice and speech are designed by Mel Blank, the voice actor who has worked on many Warner Bros. cartoons. and the first who gave the voice to Sylvester. A red nose and a drooping belly were added to the image of the cat, which made him look a bit like a clown. According to Mel Blank himself, Sylvester's voice is the same as his own, with the enhanced babbling that Blank took from Duffy Duck. Interestingly, before the appearance of Sylvester, Blank voiced a character named Sylvester in one of his television appearances, whose voice eventually became associated with a cartoon cat.
